Feeling the pressure of medical school debt? The National Health Service Corps (NHSC) programs can help finance your future. Join the NHSC, American Association of Colleges of Osteopathic Medicine (AACOM) and the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) to learn more about NHSC scholarship and loan repayment opportunities for primary care medical students who want to be part of the communities they serve.



The webinar will:

  • Review eligibility requirements.

  • Share information about the application process.

  • Respond to questions in real time.

Health Clearance Requirements at LA General Medical Center


Please review email from Colette Gauthier, Student Services Assistant dated June 28th regarding information and application on completing your annual health clearance requirements at LA General.  Any questions can be directed to Colette Gauthier.

Please ensure to login to all Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems (ORCHID, Keck EMR/CERNER) every fifteen (15) days, regardless of use/necessity to maintain access. 

It is recommended to create a recurring calendar reminder so that you do not experience any access issues.

Process - Requesting Site Exceptions 

  • Extenuating circumstances are considered when reviewing site-exception requests as it applies to IM-Sub I & Neuro.

  • For an overview of the site-exception policy, click here.

  • Please click here or scan the QR code below to submit the Site-Exception Request Form.

Please submit this form **PRIOR** to assignments being made and request must be approved.  Site assignments are FINAL.


International Studies Elective

Students have the ooption of completing an international research elective or clinical elective abroad for academic credit during their fourth year of medical school. Click here for more info.

USC Student Health

As rising MS4s, you can continue to access Student Health services throughout Summer.

Summer @ HSC Fitness Center

Throughout Summer, you are able to access the HSC Fitness Center (located in 2001 Soto Street) with your USCard.

If you are unable to access the center, please contact
Assistant Dean
Teresa Cook.

Hours are weekdays from 6:00am to 8:30pm and weekends from 10:00am to 2:00pm.


Shadowing Faculty/Operating Room access

at Keck Medical Center

As a reminder, all students who wish to shadow Faculty or wish to enter the Operating Room at the Keck Medical Center must first be approved by the Office of Student Affairs.

Prior to submitting a shadowing request, student must first receive approval from Faculty they wish to shadow.  Upon approval, students must submit a request by emailing Peter Miranda the information below

  • Student name

  • Student USC ID Number

  • Date(s) Student Plans to Shadow

  • Name of Faculty Member Shadowing

  • Department of Faculty Member

Out of respect for patients, staff, and the intense/confidential nature of the O.R., access can only be approved on a case-by-case basis.  We cannot approve students for an unlimited amount of time.

NEW: Basic Needs Drive Rescheduled

The Basic Needs Drive for Keck Students has been postponed. We will work with the Basic Needs Office to host a drive with food, clothing, and basic hygiene items in October. More details to come- thank you for your patience!

University of Arizona
Integrative Medicine Elective Rotation (IMER)


IMER is a four-week immersion in both allopathic and non-allopathic integrative modalities which AWCIM hosts twice yearly. Our fall rotation (8/26/24 - 9/22/24) is offered virtually, and the spring rotation (3/31/25 - 4/25/25) is offered at our Tucson campus.

Parking on Campus

Click here for additional information on how to purchase a parking permit with USC Transportation.

(Rotation/GAP Parking): You may purchase a parking permit for specific dates by visiting the USC Transportation Customer Service Center (KAM 120).  Accommodations will be at Lot 71.  

The cost of these permits for two weeks is $44.00.  Should your permit request be for more than two weeks, you will be charged a prorated fee for additional days that are required.
